Steelwedge Software, the innovator in Collaborative Sales Forecasting and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) solutions, announced that Superior Uniform Group has chosen Steelwedge to improve the sales forecasting process as the first phase of Superior's corporate initiative to improve company-wide Sales & Operations Planning.

The new sales forecasting process will consolidate data from the Salesforce.com and SAP systems to facilitate product mix forecasting and integrate with the current SAP Inventory Management and Material Requirements Planning systems

"We are pleased to have been selected by Superior Uniform Group for their Sales Forecasting initiative," said Steelwedge CEO Glen Margolis. "Their decision is further validation of the need for manufacturers to bridge the planning gap between CRM and ERP applications for Sales & Operations Planning."

"Our goal is to improve sales forecasting accuracy while minimizing the amount of effort and distraction for the field sales team. We are looking to formalize and streamline our sales forecasting process, and better communicate our customer's requirements to the rest of the organization," said David Schechter, Vice President Sales Administration, Superior Uniform Group. "After careful review we determined that Steelwedge provided the best value with a comprehensive, collaborative planning solution that is easy to use."

Steelwedge offers proven capability to drive collaborative sales planning processes -- both inside and outside corporate firewalls. Steelwedge Enterprise Enabled Excel (E3) technology has enabled its customers to quickly improve their planning processes and increase profitability.

The Steelwedge capacity to handle complex product mix issues, easily integrate disparate sources of data, and provide insights into pricing issues are essential components of an effective S&OP process.
