New PLM comparison website is launched to save apparel and retail customers time and money selecting a solution. The new website, apparel retailers, brands and manufacturers are using to compare and select a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution was officially launched today. WhichPLM www.whichplm.com was created to enable retailers, brands and manufacturers to assess and select the right PLM solution based on their actual requirements.

The Product Development Partnership Ltd (PDP), the team behind WhichPLM are independent PLM/PDM (Product Data Management) experts in the apparel sector with more than 20 years developing, selling and implementing systems across the globe. Mark Harrop, the Founder and Director of PDP and an Apparel PLM industry expert, explains “As an independent consultancy, we work hard on behalf of our clients to get the best deal possible when it comes to helping them select the right PLM solution.

With the increasing number of vendors now branching out into the PLM apparel market, we help guide customers through the 'assessment and selection maze' so that they can make the best choice of solution that is completely right for their requirements and budget.”

Today, there are around 60 suppliers of PLM solutions to the apparel industry, all claiming to be the industry leader. Added to that, PLM is a concept that needs to be implemented at an enterprise-wide level, so it is a significant investment relative to the size of the organisation. All solutions featured on the WhichPLM website have been rigorously evaluated and scored, not just on product functionality, but also on technical and commercials aspects.

“This very process will provide customers with accurate information on each PLM supplier. With WhichPLM, we are building a truly independent source of information that customers can trust, enabling them to compare PLM suppliers from facts and not marketing spin,” says Mark Harrop.

WhichPLM.com is a one-stop-shop website for PLM information, news, tools and expert advice. And, because we are independent, you can trust us to provide you with the impartial information you need to find the best PLM solution fit for your company.

Visit Whichplm to:
-View the apparel PLM Solutions evaluated so far by our unique evaluation and scoring programme. Make high-level comparisons and contact each supplier for further information.
