Lawson Fashion PLM solution receives top rankings

Lawson Software today announced that Lawson Fashion PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) received top rankings in two evaluation categories when benchmarked by the independent website WhichPLM.com. WhichPLM was created by independent PLM industry experts to help companies in their search of a PLM solution.

Lawson and the Lawson Fashion PLM solution were ranked first in the category “Commercials” and it tied for top ranking in the “Functionality” category. The “Commercials” category was based on the level of research and development dollars that technology providers commit to PLM-related initiatives as well as their support for regional-specific processes and fashion industry functionality.

This functionality includes product storyboard development, line optimization, sourcing, product management, fabric and trim, workflow and reports. Lawson Fashion PLM also ranked highly on other categories included in the evaluation.

Lawson Fashion PLM is a comprehensive tool for retailers and manufacturers of apparel, footwear, home textiles and accessories. It is a flexible, collaborative, web-based suite of applications facilitates the management of products, from design all the way through to production.

Lawson Fashion PLM is designed to help reduce the time-to-market for new products, improve quality and reduce costs for manufacturers, brand owners and private brand retailers.

“The WhichPLM.com benchmarking is yet another endorsement of the breadth and depth of the Lawson Fashion PLM solution,” said Mikael Anden, vice president of sales for Lawson. “We see WhichPLM.com as an important resource for any fashion company interested in PLM or selecting a PLM solution.”

“The Benchmarking process that we have performed with a number of leading PLM vendors is extremely thorough, evaluating and scoring the vendor and their product against more than 650 questions,” said Perry Bonney, director of WhichPLM.com.
