Monkhouse celebrates 70th anniversary with major technology investment

The Monkhouse group now has 20 outlets in the North of England where it employs 120 full-time plus 80 seasonal staff. It supplies goods through retail, wholesale, the internet, on-campus school shops and direct educational supply.
Its retail operation supplies schoolwear and other uniform clothing to more than 400 schools and turns over in excess of £5million.
A further £2million comes from its Intersport sports goods business, which provides all leading brands of equipment and was recently voted the UK's No. 1 racket specialist in a survey carried out by The Independent. Embroidery and trophy supply and engraving are further parts of the business.
