Information & communications technology faces challenges

Internet is the driving force behind the magic transformation of the society. The term 'work' is undergoing fundamental changes in sectors using Information & Communications Technology (ICT). Problems occur in defining 'work' and 'leisure', and professional 'output' and 'play'.

There is a shortage of qualified labor in the high tech sectors, despite the high rate of unemployment. Skilled staff, education, training, and knowledge of management play a pivotal role.

To ensure adequate economic growth, the society needs technological progress and highly qualified workforce. Therefore, work; in the 21st century must deal with demographic changes, structural prerequisites in the labor market geographic organization of labor market processes, and willingness to integrate new groups in the society. Corporate structures must be adjusted to the new requirements.
