Zweave Inc, the leader in On Demand PLM software for retailers and manufacturers of apparel and equipment is pleased to announce the launch of its Zdesign On-demand PLM Academic Package.

“PLM is an enterprise wide process change strategy enabled by technology that affects all the unique roles and departments in a product development organization.” says Laura McCann-Ramsey, CEO of Zweave.

“The Zdesign Academic Package enables Academic institutions with Fashion design, product development, manufacturing and marketing curriculums gain a competitive edge and teach students the business of fashion.”

“The Zdesign Academic Advantage Program offers the core functionality required of any PLM solution” says Mark Mandrano, Zweave's V.P Client Services and Sales. “Zdesign covers an end to end product lifecycle from trend to store with web based tools, roles and unique content management capabilities a classroom setting can leverage. With software and services bundled in to a fixed price implementation that includes training and configuration Academic programs can add PLM to their curriculum at a price they canafford” says Mandrano.

“Teaching the next generation of product development experts that spreadsheets and email is not 21st century technology is key to the industry's growth and survival” says McCann-Ramsey. “With on Demand PLM we can make PLM accessible to Academic programs at a fraction of the cost and give students and educators the best tools to support a competitive industry and seed product development and manufacturing organizations with the next leaders.”
