Presentation of NVinity Fashion, trend topic of RFID at IMB

Koelnmesse will provide the visitors of IMB 2009 — World of Textile Processing — with the optimal opportunity to find out more about successful business models, get better acquainted with innovative product ideas, and discuss new business concepts. At the same time, the exhibiting companies at IMB will also have a professional platform at their disposal, enabling them to present interested trade fair visitors with specific practice-oriented solutions and product innovations. The presentations will take place at the Speakers' Corner presentation area in Hall 8.

The presentation topics will cover all areas of the textile value chain and range from the presentation of software parameters for the creation of sewing patterns and insights into product lifecycle management, right through to the trend topic of RFID.

The series of presentations will be opened at 11:00 a.m. on the first day of the fair by CompData Computer GmbH on the topic of NVinity Fashion – the new dimension of worldwide cooperation. Other presentations include those by Alvanon Inc., USA (Emerging Brand Strategies for Recession & Recovery: What fits your business best?) and Pohl Software GmbH ("Time wear" - Target costing in the fashion industry).

The second day of the trade fair will start with a presentation by Avery Dennison on the topic of RFID. It will be followed by presentations made by representatives of, e.g., Futura Retail Solutions (Sales area management systems with FuturERS), Veit GmbH (energy consumption of ironing), PTC Parametic Technology GmbH (product lifecycle management), and the Research Institute for Operations Management at RWTH Aachen University (a results report on the topic of supply chain management in the textile and clothing industry).

The third day will start with a presentation by Mettler-Toledo Safeline Ltd., on the topic „How to Implement Effective Broken Needle Control & Ensure Vendor Compliance“. Among other things, IMB visitors can also find out more about the subject of "effective design of a product range for vertical sales area management systems" at a presentation by Salt Solutions GmbH. Visitors can also attend a presentation by Lawson Software Deutschland GmbH and its partner company Schiesser/ Radolfszell to find out how to reconcile the conflict between maintaining high delivery service levels and reducing working capital.
