Microsoft BizTalk RFID 2009 provides a flexible and powerful process-oriented middleware for the implementation of RFID solutions. Thanks to the BizTalk Server's high ability to integrate with other platforms and technologies as well as the use of the abilities of the complete Microsoft Windows platform, Microsoft users can carry out business processes within the familiar Office environment.

Combined with the proven RFID AutoID middleware You-R OPEN by RF-iT Solutions, an Austrian solution provider and software company, the way towards RFID-assisted processes in companies is now becoming even easier because: “You-R OPEN as AutoID Operating Environment enables BizTalk solutions and ERP systems existing at companies to process data from RFID processes in an efficient and structured manner, independent of the readers and tags used”, explains Managing Director Dominik Berger and adds: “You-R OPEN as a platform for the configuration of devices provides the standardized interface DSPI – Device Service Provider Interface – with the Microsoft RFID platform at the identification points.”

The list of the fully supported end devices was extended again only recently with the current version 3.4, so that at present more than 50 end devices can directly communicate with the internal software.

Via the interface by Microsoft, all functionalities of the AdminSuite of You-R OPEN including installation, software distribution, monitoring, maintenance and upgrade of an RFID Infrastructure automatically become available to the user. With the connection to the BizTalk Server 2009, the You R OPEN platform, which is easy to implement and administrate for system integrators anyway, now offers another important step towards reducing operating costs, and towards scalability and system stability, especially for business-relevant data.
