INVISTA Apparel selects Zemeter Demand Planner

Supply Chain Consultants, designer and supplier of the Zemeter suite of supply chain management (SCM) software products, announced that INVISTA Apparel, part of one of the world's largest integrated fibers and polymers businesses, has selected the Zemeter Demand Planner to manage the overall accuracy and financial health of its supply chain.
As a leading, integrated producer and marketer of premium fibers and fabrics, INVISTA Apparel maintains a manufacturing or marketing presence in every major region of the world. The company's brand portfolio includes LYCRA fiber and COOLMAX fabric, and its market segments include ready-to-wear denim and sweaters, intimate apparel, swimwear, active wear and leg wear.
“We needed a demand planning tool that creates a detailed and reliable plan that takes into account the wide variety of variables that can impact our day-to-day decision making,” said David M. Weber, Americas Supply Chain Leader for Nylon Apparel and Specialty Polyester for INVISTA Apparel. “We are implementing Zemeter to help ensure that sales, marketing, and operations are all working with exactly the same information and focused on the same business goals.”
Zemeter Demand Planner helps manufacturers profitably and quickly react to market shifts, supply disruptions, and special events. Zemeter is a sophisticated tool for “what-if” scenario analysis across demand, sourcing patterns, capacity, and distribution. It is integrated with INVISTA's SAP ERP system, and we expect its implementation to be non-disruptive to planning teams with little time to spare.
“We needed an advanced planning tool, but we had to be practical,” continued Weber. “Since Zemeter is already in use in two of our businesses and providing sustained benefits, we're confident that implementation will be quick and we will gain similar benefits from its use.”
INVISTA Apparel is the third INVISTA business to adopt Zemeter to support its manufacturing supply chain organization.
