JDS Solutions adds Inditex/Zara POS to WinRetail

JDS Solutions, a premier provider of retail management software, is pleased to announce that its flagship Retail Management System, WinRetail, now fully integrates with the Inditex proprietary Point of Sale System.
Inditex is one of the world's largest fashion retailers, welcoming shoppers at its eight store formats - Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe - boasting 4,705 stores in 76 countries.
The Inditex integration resulted from a JDS customer request. Celso Perez is operating most of its franchise stores with WinRetail, however its franchise stores under the Inditex umbrella had a propriety POS to send sales and inventory data separately to Inditex. Therefore, information was split between two systems. This prevented Celso Perez the ability to look at their entire business at one time. The Celso team turned to JDS to help solve this cumbersome situation.
The solution was to integrate WinRetail with Inditex's process so that Celso Perez could operate all of its 25 stores in one system, and Inditex could continue to receive all its required data business as usual.
Business benefits include:
• Improved view of entire operation
• Faster time to roll out new stores
• Greater control over PO receiving, inventory management and sales data analysis
Having a two system scenario was causing an inefficient and expensive situation for the franchisee. Successfully operating its other stores with WinRetail exclusively, the Celso Perez organization confidently knew that the answer was to interface WinRetail to Inditex. This would allow management to improve operation efficiencies while still meeting the precise requirements of the franchisor. The Inditex WinRetail integration added an extra challenge since Inditex's logistics rely on an extremely fast and particular flow of information.
“The WinRetail integration solution has permitted us to efficiently manage our Inditex operations,” said Francis Redman, Celso Perez, VP Sales. “All Inditex demands were accurately met by WinRetail, permitting us to have an easy rollover of the existing stores and immediately proceed with the opening of a new Zara, Bershka and Stradivarius stores at the new Blue Mall Shopping Center in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic,” added Redman.
