ShopWithYourFriends, the online social shopping tool that enables users to shop together in real-time with their friends from popular social networks, announced its official beta launch.

ShopWithYourFriends enables users to shop together online with multiple friends, and to create and compose trendy outfits and favorite clothing combinations. Shoppers simply invite their friends in real-time via Facebook or Twitter to launch a co- shopping session, and can also communicate with each other using integrated chat and Skype functionality to discuss their co-created 'lookbooks' and favorite products.

“We're primed and ready to hit the global market and to change the way people shop online,” stated Laurens Bushoff, CEO and founder of ShopWithYourFriends.

“Social shopping is hot, but in the end it is still an individual experience. To date it has been little more than letting your family or friends know what you are shopping for by sharing links or emails. Social shopping with ShopWithYourFriends is a lot more; it is a real-time co-shopping experience where people can invite each other to compose outfits together with favorite products – just like they do in real life.”

ShopWithYourFriends aims to revolutionize and take social shopping to the next level by creating a real-time shopping experience comparable to what shoppers experience when shopping in traditional brick and mortar clothing stores. ShopWithYourFriends has partnered with global eCommerce giant OTTO in The Netherlands, and plans to announce additional partnerships with leading, globally recognized online apparel websites in the near future.

The ShopWithYourFriends social shopping solution is currently available to online apparel websites only, however ShopWithYourFriends plans to launch a unique co-shopping portal in early 2011 to bring the platform direct to consumers.
