Computer Generated Solutions Inc (CGS) announces that its Leadtec business unit has entered a distribution agreement with software services firm Royal Datamatics Pvt, Ltd (RDPL).

The agreement enables the Delhi-based company to distribute, implement, and support Leadtec advanced shop floor control (SFC) systems in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. With local product availability and support, apparel and textile-related manufacturers in the region can benefit from the productivity, process, and quality improvements provided by the state-of-the-art production management solution.

According to CGS Vice President of Manufacturing Systems Jim Hoerig, "The alliance with RDPL gives us the local expertise we need to more effectively reach and drive benefits for companies in this fast-growing apparel manufacturing region. We are excited about the opportunities this brings us to help these companies improve their competitiveness and profitability. We look forward to growing our global presence as we add more partners in other key apparel and textile manufacturing regions."

Among the first companies in India to implement Leadtec through the support of RDPL are Akriti Apparels and Orient Fashions. After conducting a brief 40-station pilot program that resulted in a more than 40% productivity gain, children's and ladies apparel exporter Akriti has signed on for an additional 800 Leadtec stations to manage its 350,000 garments per month production capacity. Apparel and Home fashions manufacturer Orient Fashions ran similar pilots in two plants before ordering 2,200 more stations for use in several of its six production centers.

In the globally competitive fashion industry, manufacturers are constantly challenged to deliver with greater speed and efficiency. By implementing Leadtec data collection and production control solutions, RDPL will help South Asian companies gain the real-time visibility they need to prevent and quickly resolve production issues to ensure on-time deliveries and supply chain value.

"We are excited to be associated with a world class company such as CGS," explained RDPL Director Gunish Jain. "By combining their proven track record in production systems with our team of consultants, we aim to bring the best-of-breed solution to the Indian subcontinent. We are pleased with the opportunity to help CGS implement and support their products in this market."

Royal Datamatics is a 10 year old software services company specializing in the apparel and textile vertical. The firm brings together a unique blend of creative, interactive, and technology to enable its clients to utilize their IT infrastructure to enable quick and rapid execution.

Leadtec is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art computerized data collection, incentive payroll, and production management solution designed to capture production events in real-time or batch data collection mode.
