CGS-RDPL will support to South Asian apparel manufacturers

Computer Generated Solutions Inc (CGS) announces that its Leadtec business unit has entered a distribution agreement with software services firm Royal Datamatics Pvt, Ltd (RDPL).

The agreement enables the Delhi-based company to distribute, implement, and support Leadtec advanced shop floor control (SFC) systems in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. With local product availability and support, apparel and textile-related manufacturers in the region can benefit from the productivity, process, and quality improvements provided by the state-of-the-art production management solution.

According to CGS Vice President of Manufacturing Systems Jim Hoerig, "The alliance with RDPL gives us the local expertise we need to more effectively reach and drive benefits for companies in this fast-growing apparel manufacturing region. Among the first companies in India to implement Leadtec through the support of RDPL are Akriti Apparels and Orient Fashions. After conducting a brief 40-station pilot program that resulted in a more than 40% productivity gain, children's and ladies apparel exporter Akriti has signed on for an additional 800 Leadtec stations to manage its 350,000 garments per month production capacity. Apparel and Home fashions manufacturer Orient Fashions ran similar pilots in two plants before ordering 2,200 more stations for use in several of its six production centers.
