Gerber to show up key innovations for textile sector at Texprocess

Among its other industry-leading automation solutions, Gerber Technology, a business unit of Gerber Scientific Inc, will highlight YuniquePLM, a product lifecycle management tool designed specifically for the business of fashion and the ContourVision advanced scanning system for technical textiles during the Texprocess 2011 trade show in Frankfurt, Germany May 24 to 27.
In addition, in keeping with the company's theme for the show, “The partner you need, the support you deserve,” Gerber Technology will present its complete product and services portfolio with automation solutions ranging from CAD and PLM software to systems for material handling and single- and high-ply cutting of fabrics for apparel and technical textiles.
With YuniquePLM FS (fast start) edition, companies of any size can quickly reap the benefits of a product lifecycle management tool that is designed to have users up and running in as little as three weeks. YuniquePLM FS edition is an out-of-the-box solution that is easy to install and use. It is pre-populated with critical templates including PANTONE TPX and TCX color palettes, measurement tables, care symbols and instructions. Late last year, a leading independent software testing firm verified its scalability.
For participants in the technical textiles arena, Gerber offers ContourVision advanced scanning system as an option on GERBERcutter DCS 3600 conveyorized cutting systems. With it, manufacturers can scan custom printed textiles, automatically generate cut files and cut directly from textile rolls at speeds up to 1,1 meters per second.
Gerber will demonstrate a host of other automation solutions including AccuMark software, the industry's most complete pattern design, grading and marker making system, automated spreading systems and the GERBERcutter Z7, Gerber's newest high-ply cutting system, designed to operate around-the-clock with precision and without interruption. Z7 cuts intricate shapes, multiple hole sizes and notches in a full range of materials, including bilaminates, trilaminates, foam-backed and high loft fabrics. Also on display will be the company's GERBERplotter XLp offering state-of-the-art inkjet technology at a competitive purchase price and overall low cost of ownership.
Texprocess 2011, a new international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, will make its debut parallel to Techtextil International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens. Gerber will occupy hall 4, stand D31.
