In order to support its seven factories and 6,000 employees, Sri Lankan manufacturer of women's apparel Star Garments has chosen BlueCherry shop floor control from CGS, a global provider of business applications. The will enable Star Garments to track activities in real-time, challenges of low productivity that affect overall process efficiencies.

According to CGS, it has deployed a stunningly rapid implementation methodology to accelerate the return on investment (ROI).

“In addition, Star Garments will leverage metrics in the BlueCherry Shop Floor Control mobile application to improve its production workers' user experience,” the software developer said.

Star Garments will also benefit from enhanced social compliance reporting and an actionable intelligence (AI) tool that offers key analytics and production data in real-time.

“With the implementation of BlueCherry, this continues our desire and mission to be the 'Best in the World,'” said A. Sukumaran, managing director of Star Garments. “CGS's expertise and the capabilities of its next-generation, market-leading shop floor-control technology made the selection process very clear cut.” (AR)
