TXT Retail, the first mover and leading provider of integrated and collaborative end-to-end planning, PLM and, supply chain collaboration solutions for the luxury, fashion, and consumer sectors, is set to conduct a series of events entitled “Planning for 2020”, the Thinking Retail Forum, in London from October 6, 2015, dedicated to the top trends in retailing and how these are shaping the future of planning and inventory management.

The event will then go on the road to Paris, Milan, Dusseldorf, Gothenburg, New York, and Los Angeles during October, and will conclude in Dallas on November 5, 2015.

Panellists will take the audience through what it takes to succeed in today's retail market, the pressures that will drive change in the next five years and beyond, as well as the value of a single “end to end” planning process. TXT customers, including Bata in Italy, Ellos in Sweden, Pandora in Sweden and the UK, and Monoprix in France, are expected to bring their case studies and insights based on real-world, day-to-day business scenarios, according to a press release.

Peter Charness, chief marketing officer at TXT Retail said, “Five years from now retailing will not be the same as today. For retailers, the changes brought by meeting the needs of omni-channel retail are just the starting point for transforming their businesses to meet new forms of competition and an increasingly demanding customer. The event will be the ideal venue to share best practices with peers who are well aware of all the challenges, and it will provide practical recommendations as to the changes in organization, technology and supply chain practices that are rapidly becoming necessities.”

Among the topics that would be covered during the event are: planning and managing inventory in the omni-channel world; dealing with an increasing number of complex assortments efficiently; the organizational and technological evolutions required to support the new demands of speed to meeting local market needs; how the Merchant Team should evolve and look like.

Panellists will also explore the value of an “end to end” planning approach, integrating processes from design, planning, delivery and right to the customer doorstep. (GK)
