Jiangsu Lugang has now become the certified supplier of woollen and worsted yarns blended with Amicor fibres. Both single and double yarn counts ranging from 28 Nm to 56 Nm are available in blends with wool and acrylic for different end-application segments. Customised yarn counts as per customer requirements are also available upon customer request.

Amicor has been a leader in anti-microbial textiles since late 1990’s. Products developed with Amicor fibres retain their anti-bacterial and anti-fungal characteristics even up to 100 washing cycles. Explaining the fibre technology, Biswajit Chaudhuri, chief marketing officer, Thai Acrylic Fibre, said, “Amicor fibre is developed using the intelligent late injection technology which targets the core of the fibre. Unlike other anti-microbial surface finishes, it is not in direct contact with the skin. So Amicor is gentle, safe, soft and, therefore, very suitable for use in baby products.”
