The
history of IMB is one long success story. A machine exhibition for the clothing
industry took place in Cologne far back in 1958, and in 1973, this event took
place as an independent trade fair called IMB. By 1991, the IMB had grown to a
size of 100.000 m2. Only three years later, 704 exhibitors attended IMB
‘97. The IMB 2000 was the tenth of its kind, and 754 exhibitors from 40
countries met with 30,000 trade visitors from 100 countries at this, the most
important event in this sector’s calender year.
