At IMB 2000, 55 percent of the 30,000 visitors came from outside Germany. The greatest increase was in the number of visitors from Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia. Approximately 70 percent of trade visitors were executives or managers. Almost 88 percent of the visitors were involved in making purchasing decisions, while approximately 74 percent had a decisive or relatively major influence on such decisions.

Trade visitors can expect to see in Cologne the world's most comprehensive range of machinery, electronics and production technology for the clothing industry and the processing of all types of textiles.
