SSG122
Shima Seiki's SSG Series are the best-selling computerized flat knitting machines in the world, and are the current benchmark in shaped knitting technology. A collection of our greatest achievements, SSG carries over such Shima Seiki technology as the famous spring-type full sinker system and DSCS Digital Stitch Control System. SSG machines also feature our new R2Carriage. The R2 Rapid Response Carriage System features a new high-performance motor for faster carriage speeds as well as upgrades to both hardware and software for quicker carriage returns, resulting in increased productivity. SSG SV-type machines also feature WideGauge variable gauge technology. Special needles offer a wide range of production possibilities, from tighter, finer-gauge fabrics using all-needle knitting, to more airy, lower-gauge fabrics using half-gauge technique. These machines are all able to knit a variety of gauges on a single machine without the need for complex and time-consuming gauge conversion, supporting changes in seasons and trends quickly and economically. A new built-in computer-control unit allows simplified shipping and installation, easier maintenance, and more efficient use of space and an improved working environment. On the front of the machine is a USB memory interface for supporting large file sizes for increasingly complex patterns and designs. A backup power supply allows work to resume even after power failures. The new machines also feature a lower overall height for improved access to top tension units and for arranging yarn cones on top of the machine. Overall, the SSG series achieve a balanced blend of quality, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance. |
SIG Series
Shima Seiki's SIG Series is based on the best-selling SSG Series. As such, SIG machines are considered the current benchmark for flatbed intarsia knitting technology. Both hardware and software are optimized for fast, efficient, high-quality intarsia knitting, with capacity for up to 30 intarsia carriers. Like the SSG series, SIG carries over such Shima Seiki technology as the famous spring-type full sinker system and DSCS Digital Stitch Control System. SIG machines also feature our new R2 Rapid Response Carriage System, realizing faster carriage speeds and quicker carriage returns for increased productivity. SIG SV-type machines also feature WideGauge variable gauge technology. As with the SSG Series, a new built-in computer-control unit allows simplified shipping and installation, easier maintenance, and more efficient use of space and an improved working environment, with USB memory interface, a backup power supply, and lower overall height for improved work access. |
SSG234
The SSG234 long-bed SSG Series machines feature all the benefits of Shima Seiki's SSG series in a versatile package. In addition to such benchmark technology as the spring-type full sinker syste m and optional DSCS Digital Stitch Control System, SSG234 features WideGauge knitting capability whereby a variety of gauges—from finer-gauges using all-needle knitting, to lower-gauges using half-gauge knitting—can be knit on a single machine. This allows the freedom to handle changing seasons and shifting trends without investing in a machine for every gauge or resorting to the complex, time-consuming task of gauge conversion. The new R2 (Rapid Response) Carriage System increases maximum knitting speed, and more importantly, achieves quicker carriage returns after each course. Combined, these improvements result in significant increases in productivity depending on the gauge and type of fabric. SSG234’s twin carriages maximize the 90-inch knitting width through WideTandem capability. SSG234 can knit panels along the entire width of the needle bed in four-system mode, or two identical pieces in tandem two system mode. A built-in controller with standard USB memory interface and backup power supply, as well as lower machine height round out the new benefits as part of the new SSG234.
