ECHA would like to stress that REACH-IT is the only means specified by the Agency for companies to submit valid pre-registrations. The only route which can be used for pre-registering substances is the REACH–IT system. In order to pre-register, companies have to sign up to the REACH-IT portal on the ECHA website. The pre-registration and REACH-IT sections of the ECHA website give detailed information on how to submit. Today ECHA has again increased the capacity of REACH-IT and further enhanced the performance, especially for bulk pre-registrations. These modifications have substantially improved the availability and speed of the system but it may still exhibit slow response times during peak hours.
