The first overseas venture of the Group, Indo Thai Synthetics commenced operations in 1970 with a capacity of 12,768 spindles. Today, it is Thailand’s leading synthetic yarn spinner and the largest exporter of synthetic yarn from Thailand with a 50 per cent share in the total synthetic spun yarn exports from Thailand.
Present capacity stands at 98,568 spindles (short staple) 6,560 open end rotors, 432 spindles of air jet spinning and 480 spindles on compact spinning with an annual production capacity of 39, 240 tpa.
A recent capacity addition has been an open end spinning plant commissioned in 2005. This state-of-the-art technology plant meets the growing needs of superior quality yarns of open end spinning in 100 per cent rayon for the quality conscious customers of Europe, North and South America, among others.
Indo Thai is the preferred supplier to the world's leading fabric manufacturers. The undisputed quality of its products is the result of effective implementation of quality systems in tune with international standards. Around 70 per cent of its products are exported to quality conscious customers across more than 30 countries - USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Turkey, Greece, Belgium, France, Israel, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, South Korea, Bangladesh, Hongkong and Taiwan, among others. |
