And authentic alpine styling is most evident in the martingale (detail on lower back of garment held with buttons, traditionally used for holding the belt ), set off with metal buttons that incorporate an Alpine motif( Edelweiss flower with braided detail). The main material used on the Maria is a blend of the highest quality loden wool and softest Alpaca crafted in Germany in a century old tradition, making the material weather resistant by construction( design and finishing done in the United States ). The Maria offers warmth without the bulk and is fully lined.
