China-Africa Cotton development limited is a company registered in Hongkong,capitalized by China Colored Cotton(Group) Co.,Ltd,China-Africa Development Fund,Qingdao Huifu textile Co.,Ltd and Qingdao Ruichang Cotton Industrial Co.,Ltd with total capital of 34.72 million US dollars.CACD works as a holding company to invest cotton projects such as cotton seed breeding research,cotton growing,seed cotton processing,spinning and cooking oil etc in African countries.By contracting with small holder farmars to grow cotton,up to now,CACD is the only Chinese company directly involved in cotton growing,seed cotton buying and processing in African continent.
African continent is rich in sunlight and water,the soils are fertilized ,and here are drought season and raining season within one year,all these offer superior conditions for cotton growing and processing,From the first step of cotton growing to be the final product,from planting cotton seed planting to seed cotton picking,from seed cottn processing to lint baling,from storage to transport,there are Chinese experts guiding and monitoring each process;All the processing equipments are the most up to data models in China to ensure there are low moister,alien matters in the lint bales.The lint bales thus produced enjoys advantages of wide range of cotton blending,and little difference between different lots of cotton,each index are similar to those of the excellent cotton in China market.
CACD has established good cooperation with main textile companies in China;and also have won fine reputations in the foreign markets.Up to now,CACD has constructed three ginneries,two cooking oil plants ,with two ginneries under construction.The annual output of lint is around 60,000 MT.
