Description : Sensuous pillow in alpaca fur from Bolivia, medium-fill feather and down insert. Alpacas were cherished by the ancient Incans and played a central role in the their culture. Evolving in the high andean mountains of South America, alpacas developed a fur that his much warmer than sheep's wool and almost twice as soft. We were happy to see that treehugger.com recently called alpacas green sheep for the ease in which they coexist with the land. According to the Portland Tribune, They don’t mind eating brush, fallen leaves and other undesirable vegetation, leaving the good stuff for species that don’t have the stomach to digest such roughage.
