Abayomi O. Adetuyi

Dr. Abayomi O. Adetuyi earned all his post-secondary educational degrees in the department, from where he started as one of the pioneering students. He completed his doctorate training in the Department of Chemistry with emphasis on Dyes and pigments.

Dr. Abayomi started his teaching and research career in the Adeyemi College of Education Ondo, Nigeria, as a Lecturer. Later he joined The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria as a Lecturer. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria.

Adetuyi's main research interests are in the field of natural dyes and pigments, characterization, utilization and applications to textiles and allied chemical products, and has published many papers relating to these areas. Dr. Adetuyi is a member of many renowned associations like the Chemical Society of Nigeria, and a Professional member, Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria (PICCON).
