Håkan Torstensson

Håkan Torstensson received his degrees of MSc in engineering physics and PhD in continuum mechanics, both at Chalmers University of Technology. He then joined the Swedish National Testing Institute, where he worked on transportation issues, safety of dangerous goods, and product safety in general. As head of department, he also managed organizational issues. Next stop was the maritime consulting and research company SSPA, where he worked in maritime risk and safety research.

At an invitation from the University of Borås, he became professor in transportation safety, where at the School of Textiles he has expanded the topic to fashion logistics and demand chain management, including research in supply chain risk and resilience.
