Mette Biering

Mette Biering acquired her MBA from the BI, Norway and diploma in design from the Istituto Marangoni, Italy. Apart from this she is also a certified Herbalist. Similar to her academic qualifications Mette also held multi faceted positions as a designer, product manager and merchandiser in the garment industry. She has worked for well known companies and chain stores in Norway, Germany, Holland and Austria.

Currently, she is a freelance consultant, writer and designer. She has served as leader of Tekstilpanelet, an initiative between the Norwegian government and the industry for a more sustainable textile and garment industry, wholesale and retail. She has authored numerous articles and had participated in numerous radio and TV programs since 1995 on textile fiber knowledge, especially new materials.
