Richa Bansal

Richa Bansal is Consulting Editor with Fibre2Fashion, and under her the magazine has skyrocketed to a new level both in terms of revenues and content with its insightful articles and cutting-edge world class design.

Richa has been at the helm of a slew of premium B2B magazines (all in the fashion/ textile/ retail domain) since 2003. Under her as Executive Editor of Images Business of Fashion, a dour-reading publication was transformed into a highly readable and insightful periodical. Here she was also instrumental in inducing the industry to take up fashion forecasts with a keen eye on Indian seasons and aesthetics instead of blindly following forecasts from European or American agencies. In between, she coined the term Indutvas for apparel of Indian origin instead of the prevalent term, ethnicwear. Richa then went on to become the Launch Editor for the Indian edition of Sportswear International before helming the Indian avatar of Shoes & Accessories.

Richa started out in the newspaper media before moving on to wire services and subsequently news portals and value-added services in the mobile space, moving back to print in the magazine space with the last decade and half devoted to leading fashion/textile/retail magazines both in the B2C and B2B spaces.
