We're present in every country that has a textile industry
Brückner Trockentechnik develops, manufactures and supplies textile finishing machinery. The company offers finishing lines for woven and knitted fabric, including drying, heat-setting, curing, continuous dyeing, sanforizing and compacting; and drying, coating, and finishing lines for technical textiles like glass fibre fabric, glass mesh fabric, coated materials, tarpaulin coating and billboards, artificial leather, floor coverings, artificial grass carpet and foil or non-wovens. Head of marketing Verena Ruckh talks about the latest technologies displayed at ITMA 2019.

Please give a brief description of your company.

Bruckner has been active in the textile industry for 70 years and produces machinery for textile finishing like drying, coating, heat-setting or bonding. We are a family-owned and family-run company and all our machinery is produced in Germany.

What new technologies did you display at ITMA 2019?

We have introduced many new features in the field of automation, which can be attached to any of our existing or new machines. For example, we have a new software panel board, from which the machine operator can detect if there is anything wrong with the machine and take immediate corrective action. Thus, the energy efficiency and productivity of the machine can be increased. The new software also warns if there is a need to change any spare part. In the past, the operator had to walk around and keep a continuous check when the machine was running. But now the operator can control the whole machine from a panel board and get useful hints. Beside automation, we have also introduced a complete new line for denim finishing, a new lubricant-free chain system for our stenter frames as well as a new minimum application system.

To how many countries do you export?

We export to around 80-90 countries and are present in every country that has a textile industry.

Since how many years has your company has been taking part at ITMA?

I have been participating at ITMA since the last six editions. I am not sure since how many years Bruckner has been participating, but as far as I can remember, we have been there since the late sixties or early seventies.

What is your opinion of ITMA?

For Bruckner, ITMA is the most important show and it offers a different feeling. It is the only exhibition, where we get to meet so many customers from all over the world, all of whom are decisionmakers. ITMA is a kind of different spirit compared to other exhibitions. (HO)
