What defines personal style, and how can individuals express their true selves through fashion?
Personal style is an extension of one’s identity. Fashion should be an authentic expression of mood, personality, and individuality. At EchoStudio, we challenge the idea of conforming to global trends and encourage our customers to embrace unique styles that reflect their true selves, whether through bold choices or understated elegance.
What inspired the creation of EchoStudio, and how does the name ‘ECHO’ reflect your brand’s philosophy?
India is a country rich in culture, craftsmanship, and abundant resources. However, we observed that local talents and resources were not being utilised to their fullest potential. At the same time, there was a growing fascination with Western fashion among Indian consumers, despite their unique body types, colour preferences, and cultural sensibilities which are very different.
EchoStudio was born to bridge this gap, blending global fashion trends with a tailored approach that caters to the Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets. The name ‘ECHO’ reflects our mission to encourage customers to express their individuality and personality by experimenting with bold and innovative fashion choices. It symbolises a platform where their unique voices resonate through wearable yet trend-forward designs.
Your brand emphasises self-discovery and individuality. How do you ensure these values are woven into your collections?
Each collection at EchoStudio is crafted with an emphasis on diverse cuts, impeccable fits, and fluid drapes that complement various body types. We offer customisation options, allowing customers to select from a wide palette of colours and designs. We avoid a one-size-fits-all approach, ensuring our styles cater to different preferences. By incorporating unique techniques like intricate draping and distinctive finishes, we enable customers to explore new styles and discover what resonates with their individuality.
What is the process behind designing garments that balance wearability with bold, statement-making features?

We cater to these individuals by offering 100 per cent customisation, from size to colour preferences. Our designs are inclusive, ensuring a perfect fit regardless of body type. With free alterations and an expansive colour palette, we ensure each customer’s needs and preferences are prioritised.
How do you achieve your hallmark clean cuts, distinctive silhouettes, and meticulous detailing in your designs?
We pride ourselves on pushing creative boundaries by experimenting with fabric manipulation and innovative techniques. Our team dedicates time and effort to perfecting every design through trial and error. Each collection is a result of meticulous craftsmanship and a commitment to ensuring that every piece speaks volumes about our brand ethos.
In your opinion, how important is the concept of sustainability in today’s fashion landscape?
Sustainability is essential for the future of fashion, but it requires efforts from every level of the supply chain, from farming practices to fabric production. Designers can contribute by reducing waste, minimising plastic use, and embracing slow fashion. At EchoStudio, we actively take these steps to promote sustainable practices.
So, sustainability is a part of your design philosophy? How do you integrate sustainable practices into your collections?
Yes, sustainability is an integral aspect of our philosophy. While achieving full sustainability requires addressing numerous factors, we focus on reducing waste, practicing slow fashion, and producing only two collections a year based on demand. We avoid overproduction, minimise plastic use in packaging, and prioritise eco-friendly materials, including alternatives to polyester.
What are the key elements of a standout fashion collection, in your view?
The key elements of a standout collection are relatability and inclusivity. A collection must resonate with its audience through flattering silhouettes, thoughtful designs, and a clean aesthetic. Designs that connect emotionally with customers are the most impactful.
Can you walk us through the creative journey behind one of the recent EchoStudio collections?
Our recent collection, ‘Savanna Series’, draws inspiration from our designer's visit to Africa. This collection pays homage to the vast landscapes, flora, and fauna of the region. It is a vibrant tribute to the breathtaking beauty of the African savannah. This collection is where vibrant prints evoke the essence of the landscape, inspired by the seamless blending of colours in nature. It celebrates the harmony between humans and the wild, reflecting the interconnectedness of life.
