I Prefer regional exhibitions over ITMA
Italian company Grandis SRL has been operating in the textile industry for over 20 years. Always in the vanguard of research and development of solutions, Grandis offers a large range of products in dyeing and finishing segments for large and medium to small hosiery and dyeing companies. National sales and marketing director Fabrio Grandis spoke to Fibre2Fashion about its latest innovations and the experience at ITMA 2019 which was held from June 20 to 26 in Barcelona, Spain.

Please give a brief description of your company.

We began manufacturing around 20 years ago and are mainly into supplying dyeing machines for all applications. We also supply steaming machines.

Have you launched any new technologies at ITMA 2019? Please share features and benefits of these technologies.

We showed our existing steaming technologies but with a lot of upgrades. We have made the technology Industry 4.0 compliant. With the upgrades, one can programme the machine and make any change to the running of the machine from anywhere in the world.  The biggest benefit that it offers is that if the machines face any problems, we can tackle it from our head office in Italy.

How many countries do you export to?

We export all over the world to around 100 countries.

Since how many years has your company been participating at ITMA?

This is our eighth edition at ITMA.

How does ITMA fare when compared to other textile machinery exhibitions?

Regional exhibitions are more focused on one segment, while ITMA encompasses all segments of the textile industry. I personally prefer regional exhibitions as all the buyers who visit our stall are genuine, while at ITMA, although there are more buyers, all may not be serious buyers.  (HO)
