What propelled your company to venture in this business area: intimate-wear?

It’s being a family business for last 25 years. But before this venture it was more of local fabrication type, which helped in learning ins and outs of the business.

How well is your company equipped to take on domestic and international competition?

We are in this trade for last 14 years and Brand “BODYCARE” is now well-established brand in the market with great consumer preference and strong distribution channel. Besides this we have a technically strong Back up team in designing and productions. All these factors make us quite competitive and provide strong edge to stay even in fiercest competition.

What are the core strengths of your company?

Understanding Consumer preferences and then providing high quality products at reasonable prices at various places.

What are the quality parameters that go in making of quality intimate-wear?

"Comfort Fit Aesthetic Designs Durability All the above are achieved by careful selection of raw material which are elegant yet body friendly and then converting them into products based on consumer preferences which we know based on our experiences and consumer/retailers feedbacks. "

Is ‘lingerie’ still considered orthodox by Indian importers?

Conditions are changing fast but still there is lot need to happen which is expected very soon.

How is the adaptation and implementation of CAD/CAM system in the manufacturing process taking place in India?

Industry is adopting the changes in technology in which CAD/CAM system is one but still there is lack of trained manpower making the process slower. Overall this is well accepted by the industry as a tool to enhance efficiency in designing and productions.

Any plans for adopting seamless technology in your manufacturing process?

We have already adopted the same and our seamless products are there in market for last 2 years and we are getting good response for the same. Still Indian consumer needs a lot of awareness on the benefits and availability of the seamless products.

What kind of fabric and technique goes in to the making of ‘warmers’?

"Warmers are based on principle of insulating your body from External Environment. There are different fabrics being used for this purpose, which have different level of insulation capacities. For the same we use quilted fabric which is three layered fabric made using a special Quilt Knit Technique. In this fabric Outer two layers are of very fine super combed cotton and in between polyester filament yarn is quilted. This ensures the only cotton touching user’s body while polyester filled in providing high level of insulation. "
