We’ll never give ITMA a miss

With flexibility and versatility, Dettin strives to meet the specific needs of its customers. The Italian company is also expanding in the production of machines and plants for the textile industry. Fiorella Cattelan, sales director, talks about handling yarn packages with automated technologies.

Please tell us about your company.

Established in 1962, Dettin is a family-owned company, specialising in manufacturing of pressure vessels for various industries. In the 1980s, we entered the textiles segment by manufacturing hydro extractors for the dyeing process. Subsequently, we added other machineries like chamber dryers. Later, we added automated technologies for handling yarn packages which helps in loading and unloading of packages. We have also added technology for bumps handling, which was displayed at the ITMA stall.

Did you launch any new technologies or show existing technologies at ITMA 2019?

The bumps machinery is our latest technology which helps in handling, loading, pressing, strapping on to the carriage. We showed only a small portion of the whole machinery at our stall.

How many countries do you export to?

We export around 80 per cent of our production and to all continents.

Since when has your company been taking part at ITMA?

This is my sixth edition at edition; so, maybe we have been taking part for the last eight editions.

What is your opinion of ITMA, when compared with textile machinery exhibitions?

ITMA is very significant for the whole textiles industry as many potential customers from all over the world visit. We would never give ITMA a miss. (RR)
