Job Description
Responsible for the procurement of Yarns, Fabrics and other raw materials.
Should have detailed knowledge of all the fibres like, Cotton, Viscose, Wool, Silk, Modal etc.
Negotiating with vendors for rates and other terms and conditions of delivery and payment
Effective planning for the procurement of raw material in coordination with Sales team.
Material planning according to sales plan, scheduling, inventory and cost elements.
Achieve cost reduction goals through scientific vendor management.
Analysis of material usage to develop and execute purchase order and monitoring of purchase orders and its follow up.
Develop, implement and manage cross-functional activities among all internal departments, work
Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
Coordinating with the Yarn Suppliers with reference to production planning and delivery schedule.
Negotiation of freight rates with the transporter / forwarder / courier for the material movement.
