Job Description
Responsible for efficient & pro-active working of mechanical maintenance and utilities (operation & maintenance).
MIS for top management like monthly performance Report etc.
Review entire day to day activities on continuous basis.
Review major reports pertaining to M & U activities E.g. Breakdowns/M status & effectiveness, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, SO activities.
Review utilities operation and maintenance.
Review plant trouble reports & ensure proper corrective actions & effective preventive actions to avoid reoccurrence and logging the same in SAP.
Review FIRs, if any & ensure effective preventive actions, work instruction & other specific procedures. Regular review, updating and improvement.
Updating equipment master details.
Ensuring proper documentation, archiving, updating to make sure that right document is available whenever required.
Inter department co-ordination to ensure tapping off full potential of M & U team.
Budgeting capital Expenditure.
Monitoring/Reviewing expenditure v/s budgeted.
Planning to upgrade process together with production & technical department.
Managing emergency counteraction in case of serious plant trouble to support V.P (works) or plant Head.
Planning to improve machine reliability by modification, replacement.
Planning to enhance maintenance Capability.
Planning machines productivity enhancement scheme/modification.
Ensuring inventory of spares & consumables (optimum sizing).
Shutdown planning and implementation.
Coordinating engineering material procurement.
Evaluation of plant & machinery to ensure timely actions of replacement or suit to condition of the same.
Coordinating safety in regular, monitoring of pressure Vessels, lifting tools & tackles as per CCOE or factory inspectorate requirement, safety audit of the same.
Updating Statutory rule and regulation & actions required thereof.
Liaison with factory Inspector/boiler Inspector/Power corporation personnel.
Maintaining neck to neck co-ordination ship with top management, by understanding their inevitable needs.
