Job Description

Develop new products to ensure profitable revenues
Formulate and review prototype development
Provide input and evaluate consumer qualification of product
Oversee scale up and commercialisation activity
Ensures achieve time /scope /quality of brief meeting requirements
2) Technical screening of new product ideas
Track status of product briefs from Marketing and ensure closure of marketing briefs on time
Over see the execution of product briefs covering performance / claims and delivered cost and vendor qualification
Formulate and implement protocols for product performance evaluation and claim support
3) Quality Compliance and Maintenance
Ensure updating and maintenance of specifications for RM and FG
Ensure resolution of product / consumer complaints etc on going basis
4) Closely collaborate with Product Innovation Program Management
Identify the ideas and areas where efforts should be spent to maximize impact on EBITDA and Sales
Get agreement and alignment on the different projects to be executed during the year in the business from the Business Head and the Group Product Innovation (Program Management cell)
5) Technology, material selection and up gradation
Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies for existing and upcoming products along with Operations Head
Identify Potential R&D led technologies/ innovations and competition activity which seriously impact organisation's business
Work closely with the purchase team for procuring fibres and developing alternate suppliers or materials
6) Regulatory Compliance
Update on regulatory status(BIS,FDA,/Weights & Measure etc) and ensure compliance
Cross functional co-ordination for product research and launch, raw materials and regulatory issues (Brand, Operation, Purchase, Legal, Vendor etc)
