Job Description
Drive procurement of the organization in line with best industry practice.Implement strategies for sourcing of items by analyzing & in consideration with the requirements.Maintain and optimize purchasing process in compliance with business strategy and sustainability requirements Analyze demand of different plants and forecast raw material requirement like dyes, chemicals, packing material (corrugated boxes, paper tube etc), consumables, spares etc. To approve the ordering of necessary goods & ensure availability of material within the parameters of cost, quality and time.Maximize the cost saving & meet the business needs.Capability to evaluate products technically, guide/train the business partners and procurement team on products and map potential suppliers.Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements, assessing performance of the Vendors based on various criterion's such as manufacturing process, standards & quality, timely delivery, credit terms etc.Work closely with the senior management to determine viability of procurement and budgetary approvals. Generate plant-wise costing & budgeting reportsEnsure proper coordination with Finance Department.Review existing policies and effect corrections as needed; fine-tune such that objectives of policies are achieved.Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs Plant-wiseDevising ways to optimize inventory control procedures
