Job Description

Test fabrics, analyse and interpret results for
(a) addressing customer complaints or
(b) recommending new products for development.

Test yarn, analyse and interpret results for
(a) suggesting improvements in manufacturing process or
(b) bench-marking the performance of fibers.

Compile and manage the knowledge accrued at the R&D center. Be the global reference point for technical information related to yarns and fabrics produced at the R&D center.

Contribute innovative ideas to proactive seasonal collections.

Provide product training to cross functional teams.

Implement six sigma methodology in processes.

Initiate joint technical projects with external partners.

Initiate collaborative projects with other R&D centres.

Key Skill

Quality & Research

Mastery over all aspects of textile engineering with a special emphasis on fibre - yarn property correlation. Hands on experience with fabric and yarn testing. Sound knowledge of test methodologies and statistical analysis of data. Experience in defining and executing research projects.
