Design and product development is referred to be as the generic process for developing new products. Provides a road map from conceptualization and design to market positioning and strategy.Design refers to those activities involved in creating the styling, look and feel of the product, deciding on the product's mechanical architecture, selecting materials and processes, and engineering the various components necessary to make the product work. Development refers collectively to the entire process of identifying a market opportunity, creating a product to appeal to the identified market, and finally, testing, modifying and refining the product until it is ready for production.Handle a team of professional designers who takes care of towel design and development in Ludhiana and sheeting in Gurgaon.Supervision and handling of Product Development Team working for Towel & Sheeting Business at Plant Locations.Establish quality systems to ensure customer centric quality product from raw material to finished product & review the same for improvements.Current upcoming trends in market, designing for branding events liaising with clients and technical, marketing and buying staff to plan and develop designs.Explore new ideas based on market requirement for achieving maximum Net Sales Realization (NSR).Producing sketches, worked-up designs and samples for presentation to customers.Re-engineering of existing products for making cost effective products Coordination with marketing for sample development priorities.Visiting sites and other sources of ideas for designs.Sourcing fabrics and other materials at trade fairs, markets and antique shops.Monitoring of sample on time in-full (OTIF) % acceleration of sample development process & ensure right first time (RFT).Meeting & co-ordination with customers for better product clarity.Communicate business plan objectives, vision & performance to team.Building strategic working relations.
