Job Description

Responsible for handling day to day manufacturing activities of Consumer Zips and Industrial Looms and Performance including Production Planning, Scheduling, Executing, Maintenance and Health & Safety.
Ensure to achieve department objectives and KPIs include OHK, Process waste reduction, MLT, Customer complaints reduction, Zero accidents and resolution of issues pertaining to manufacturing and maximising machine and manpower utilisation
Ensure to provide Safe working environment by educating the worker to follow all Safety norms
Responsible for daily production plan adherence of Consumer Zips & Industrial Looms
Review / monitor the production orders with ageing and schedules in order to complete
Monitor and control the overall department KPIs & performance to reach the set targets
Ensure the compliance of H&S procedures, conducting SSB & verifying ECL check list and PPEs adherence
Ensure all workers are following the SOP for their activity or process
Review / monitor the production of each worker daily basis and initiate actions to improve
Ensure to achieve IE standard output from each worker if require counsel them for achievement
Ensure PAT training to all new recruits and monitoring the productivity daily basis with the help of Worker Teacher and provide feedback to IRD for continuous improvements
Ensure and develop multi-trained work force
Participate Daily department - PQCD review meeting and preparing actions to achieve departmental Objectives
Conduct In-process rework / rejection analysis review meeting with his team and identifying proper root cause and initiate actions to eliminate it and monitoring regularly
Review Customer Complaints and developing suitable CAPA actions and implementation
Involve and participate for the development of process improvements
Maximising machine utilisation and optimising all the resources
Ensure to follow up 6S Audit CAPA actions and implement to improve 6S Audit Score
Review MLT trend and initiate actions to improve it
Adopt and Implement Lean manufacturing techniques and Lean Tools to eliminate NVA
Work with Engineering Team to achieve Zero Break-down hours
Ensure Preventive Maintenance schedule and the availability of Critical spares
Effective monitoring and compliance of ISO 9001 Standards and adherence to systems and procedures and relevant documents / records are duly updated
Review Consumable cost and taking necessary action to reduce / control
Ensure to eliminate hazards at work place and provide safe working environment
Ensure the yearly review of TaRA & SOP and revise / update if any change in the process
Provide sufficient training for all operators on relevant SOPs and improve the work culture for better productivity and quality on regular basis and monitoring their training effectiveness
Involving Staff recruitment replacement / addition
Focus on Continual Improvements in Consumer Zips manufacturing process
Motivate and manage direct reportees for better productivity and process improvements
Preparation of monthly department MIS report and presenting to Plant Manager
Coordinate with other departments for effective communication and smooth execution of task
Knowledge, Competencies and Key Behaviours Required
Diploma or Engineering Graduate preferably Textile discipline
Experience in Weaving and Zips manufacturing process
Minimum 12 15 years experience in Manufacturing role
Knowledge on operations of machines Weaving, Coiling & Sewing
Knowledge of Improvement initiatives like 5S, Lean Techniques, kaizen, TPM, QC tools, LSS
Knowledge and understanding of quality standards such as ISO, Six sigma is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Good Man management and Subordinates development - coaching and mentoring
