Indian textiles and retail conglomerate Arvind Limited has plans to scale up its textiles business from ₹6,000 crore now to ₹10,000 crore by 2023, according to Susheel Kaul, CEO, lifestyle fabrics, knits and wovens, in the company, which plans to invest ₹1,500 crore from the company’s regular cash flow over the next three years to meet its target.

The key drivers to this growth will be more verticals, more garmenting, ramping up advanced materials division which is into specialised textiles, and adopting newer technologies that will help scaling up operations and build on the Arvind brand, a news agency reported quoting Kaul.

Arvind plans to grow the technical textiles division and get more and more into newer fabrics, focusing on athleisure and activewear, he said.

The brand Arvind, which is worth ₹400 crore now, will be scaled up to ₹1,000 crore. (DS)
