The United States was the largest market for Vietnam's footwear exports in the first eight months of 2024, with exports totalling $4.929 billion, accounting for 30.26 per cent of the total shipments. Exports to China stood at $1.899 billion (11.66 per cent), to Japan $903.122 million (5.54 per cent), to the Netherlands $896.565 million (5.50 per cent), and to Belgium $840.189 million (5.16 per cent), according to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro.
The next five top markets were South Korea (5.03 per cent), Germany (4.07 per cent), Canada (2.65 per cent), Switzerland (2.11 per cent), and Mexico (2.06 per cent).
Regionally, North America was the largest market for Vietnamese footwear exports, accounting for 34.97 per cent of the total exports in the first eight months of 2024. The Asia-Pacific region made up 31.59 per cent, Europe 25.66 per cent, Central and South America 3.24 per cent, and the Middle East 3.24 per cent, as per TexPro.
