The company promptly launched an investigation with the support of cybersecurity experts to contain the breach.

The compromised data does not include passwords or payment information but comprises contact details of consumers who previously interacted with Adidas’s customer service help desk, the company said in a note on its website.

Adidas has begun notifying potentially affected individuals and is cooperating with data protection and law enforcement authorities, in line with legal requirements.

“We remain fully committed to protecting the privacy and security of our consumers, and sincerely regret any inconvenience or concern caused by this incident,” the company said.
