Amazon plans two more fulfilment centres in California

In addition to the already nine operational fulfilment centres in California, USA, the world’s biggest online retailer, Amazon has drawn up plans to open two more fulfilment centres in the state. Amazon plans to open these fulfilment centres in Eastvale and Redlands, both in California, which will create more than 2,000 new full time jobs.
The Eastvale facility will be of one million square feet, while the Redlands facility will be over 750,000 square feet.
According to Amazon, a fulfilment centre in Sacramento, California is currently under construction, expected to open in 2017.
The online retailer currently employs more than 15,000 full-time employees at the nine existing Californian fulfilment centres. (AR)
