Australia's apparel imports rise 6.7% to $7.94 bn in Jul-May FY25

Australia's apparel and clothing accessories imports rose ****.*5 per cent to Au$********* billion in July 2024–May 2025, with a notable MoM increase in May 2025.
Textile yarn and fabric imports also grew, while fibre imports declined.

Conversely, fibre imports (classified under code **) fell to Au$*** million, down from Au$*** million during the period under review.

In May ****, imports of apparel and clothing accessories increased by *.** per cent to Au$*.*** billion, up from Au$*.*** billion in May ****. However, imports of textile yarn, fabrics, made-up articles, and related products eased to Au$*** million, compared to Au$*** million in May ****. Fibre imports were higher at Au$** million, compared to Au$** million in May ****.
