Bangladesh's RMG exports surge 24.6% to $3.9 bn in July 2025

Bangladesh's ready-made garment exports rose **.**67 per cent year-on-year to $***.*** billion in July 2025, driven by strong growth in knitwear and woven apparel shipments.
Knitwear exports grew **.**01 per cent to $***.*** billion, while woven apparel rose **.**08 per cent to $***.*** billion.
Home textiles also increased **.**24 per cent.
Apparel and textiles accounted for **.**8 per cent of total exports.

Knitted garment exports slightly outpaced woven garment exports in growth. Knitwear exports (Chapter **) increased by **.** per cent to $*.*** billion, compared to $*.*** billion in the corresponding period of fiscal ****–**. Woven apparel exports (Chapter **) rose by **.** per cent to $*.*** billion, up from $*.*** billion in July ****, EPB data showed.

Home textile exports (Chapter **, excluding ******) also increased, rising by **.** per cent to $**.** million, compared to $**.** million in the same period of the previous fiscal. Collectively, exports of woven and knitted apparel, clothing accessories, and home textiles accounted for **.** per cent of Bangladesh’s total exports, which reached $*.*** billion during the period.
