Bangladesh's RMG exports up 10% to $32.6 bn in July-Apr FY25

Bangladesh's ready-made garment (RMG) exports rose by *%* to $**.** billion in July–April FY25, driven by stronger knitwear exports.
Home textile exports increased by *.* per cent, while cotton and cotton product exports grew by *.* per cent.
However, April 2025 data showed slower monthly growth, with woven apparel and cotton exports declining.

Knitted garment exports slightly outpaced woven garment exports in growth. During the first ten months of the current fiscal, exports of knitwear (Chapter **) rose by **.** per cent to $**.*** billion, compared to $**.*** billion in the corresponding period of fiscal ****–**. Woven apparel exports (Chapter **) increased by *.** per cent, totalling $**.*** billion, up from $**.*** billion during the same period in the previous fiscal, according to EPB data.

Home textile exports (Chapter **, excluding ******) also grew, rising by *.** per cent to $***.** million, compared to $***.** million during the same period of the previous fiscal. Collectively, exports of woven and knitted apparel, clothing accessories, and home textiles accounted for **.** per cent of Bangladesh’s total exports, amounting to $**.*** billion for the period.
