Bemis and its partners including leading intimates brands like Victoria's Secret, Triumph, Amier, Embry and Cosmo Lady share a commitment to future-of-fashion innovation that results in more creative, high-quality, and comfortable garments. To showcase the power of partnership, Bemis' also displayed its integrated garments created in partnership with Hong Kong-based Clover.
"Clover operates under the model of 'One Company, One team' – and it is important to note that the same can be said about our relationship to our partners. Working hand-in-hand with Bemis, the authentic leader in Sewfree bonding in Asia, allows us to push the boundaries of product development with their irreplicable premium products and technology solutions," said Angie Lau, chief executive officer of Clover and chairman of Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries' Association (HKIAIA).
Bemis' Sewfree technology liberates designers from the typical constraints of intimate apparel – infusing garments with the sleekest, lightest, high-recovery stretch and breathability for all day comfort. Bemis' adhesive modules are also customisable for additional creativity. Using Sewfree technology, designers can eliminate panty lines and elastic-free edges while reducing bulk – or add support and shapewear without sacrificing comfort or flexibility.
"China is an incredibly important market for Bemis, and one we are constantly inspired by as a result of the creative intimates designs being created and produced by the country's leading brands and factories. We are privileged to be able to demonstrate our intimates solutions through our strategic partnership with Clover," said Steve Howard, chief executive officer of Bemis Worldwide.
SIUF show attendees also learnt about and touched a variety of Sewfree applications. The Sewfree Adhesive application creates sleeker lines, softer corners and stronger seams. Different formulas allow for customisation in modulus, hand feel, recovery, and fabric selection. High Recovery allows infusing garments with optimum stretch and recovery while maintaining the sleek, smooth profile of a Sewfree bonded seam or hem – without elastics or bulky sewn seams.
Flowfree application is specifically created to enhance fit, mobility, and comfort with up to 17 per cent of unrestricted air flow value. Perforations in Flowfree promote and enhance breathability to release moisture unlike traditional elastics and meshes. Edge Binding creates low profile edges, finishes, necklines and hems while replacing expensive engineered elastics, while Aesthetic Functional Film adds functional details for a chic look and even more next-to-skin comfort.
