BodyBlock AI unveils BodyBlock Predict

BodyBlock AI, the robust clothing fit predictor, has unveiled BodyBlock Predict, to enable the apparel industry to take a BodyFirst approach to apparel fit that improves eCommerce conversions, customer satisfaction and cost savings. Some brands such as Rhone, have already started using and begun to see the benefits of BodyBlock AI's BodyFirst approach.

Every year, apparel companies see $300 billion in revenue lost simply because clothing brands do not understand the gap between their target customer persona and their target customer's body shape. Due to this gap, clothiers are not designing and selling clothing to fit their target customer's body. For decades the apparel industry has relied on fit models and costly sizing studies to establish the design and fit of new clothing; however, these methods have not kept pace with technological innovation or the way body shape has changed over time.

Forward-thinking apparel brands such as Rhone, have already begun to see the benefits of BodyBlock AI's BodyFirst approach, which means integrating the BodyBlock Predict widget onto their eCommerce site to predict the measurements of each consumer and then recommend the appropriate size of each product. Rhone sees a 2X conversion increase for customers that use BodyBlock AI as opposed to traditional size charts. They also reported that is has mitigated customer services issues in the research phase of the buying journey.

BodyBlock AI harnesses the power of the world's largest, fastest growing, and most geographically diverse body scan database, approaching 1,000,000 scans, so that apparel companies can take an informed, BodyFirst approach that maximises revenue and profit while also reducing waste. By tracking the predicted body shapes of each eCommerce consumer, Rhone can use that data in conjunction with cart adds, purchases and returns to efficiently bridge the gap between the brand's consumer persona and consumer body shapes. This new and more efficient sizing study, powered by BodyBlock AI, allows design teams to better understand product lines and the data specifications required to accurately design clothing for their target customer segments.

Poor fit has not only resulted in billions of dollars in revenue loss, but it's also created immense waste both in materials, time-to-market, shipping and logistics. Online retailers covering the outbound and inbound return of apparel shipping costs are greatly impacted by the monetary loss and waste expenditures. These factors have motivated several forward-thinking apparel companies to adopt BodyBlock AI's data and machine learning capabilities, as even a 10 per cent reduction in returns saves a singular brand millions of dollars and improves shareholder value.
