Chinese apparel exports to Malaysia up in 2011

In the first half of this year, China's apparel exports to Malaysia realized US $600 million, up 9.2 percent year on year and accounting for 49.9 percent of China's textile and apparel exports to Malaysia over the same period.

Of which, exports of cotton knitted clothing and woven garments were US $270 million and $ 0.50 million, up 7.3 percent and 45.6 percent, respectively, while export prices rose 29.5 percent and 34 percent, respectively, year on year.

Exports of knitted apparel based on man-made fiber stood at US $110 million, down 16.6 percent year on year, export price rose 65.1 percent year on year.

Fabric exports marked US $ 270 million, an increase of 15.8 percent year on year, average export price increased 27.3 percent year on year.

Yarn exports completed US $0.60 million, up slightly by 1.7 percent year on year.
